Core Values

Imago Dei: We believe all people are made in the image of God and desire an answer to the question, “Who am I?” (Genesis 1:26-27; Colossians 3:10)

Bible: We believe in the living Word of God and enthusiastically share its truth. (John 1:1-5; Hebrews 4:12; James 1:22-25; Psalm 19:7-11; Psalm 119)

Identity: We are committed to helping people become devoted followers of Christ and desire to help them find their identity in Him. (Colossians 2:6-7, 3:10; Ephesians 2:10; Galatians 2:20)

Spirit: We encourage the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer, and encourage a “life in the Spirit” and the use of the gifts of the Spirit. This work of the Spirit empowers believers for a life of service, and is a guide and comfort. (Acts 1:4, 5, 8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31; Acts 2:37-38, John 7:37-39, Galatians 5:16-18)

Journey: When a person enters into a relationship with Christ, the Spirit of God immediately begins to transform them. We are passionate about caring for people: body, soul, and spirit, and want to help throughout this journey of transformation. (1 Thessalonians 5:23; Philippians 12:12-13; Galatians 5:22-23; Galatians 2:20)

Worship: God reveals Himself to us through His Word; through the active, personal role He takes in our lives; and through His creation. Our worship is a response to this revelation of God and is expressed through our devotion to Him, the way we serve and love others, and the giving of our time and resources. (2 Samuel 6, Colossians 3:15-17; Romans 12:1; Psalm 19:1-2; Psalm 103:1-6)

Prayer: Prayer is the essence of our communion with God. It is our worship of Him, our desire to see His purpose accomplished, and an expression of our dependence on God. It is an ongoing surrender to His work in our life. As we pray, we are brought back into alignment with Him. (Matthew 6:5-13; John 15:1-11; Hebrews 4:14-16; 1 John 5:13-15)

Community: Connection and belonging are deep human needs. We are committed to building and championing authentic relationships within our faith, our families, and the surrounding community. (Acts 2:42-47; 1 Peter 3:8; Colossians 3:9-17; Galatians 5:14)

Service: The result of God’s work in our lives should be active service toward others that flows from a servant’s heart. This can be expressed in many different ways and comes through the use of all God has given us; our time, our talents, and our resources. (Matthew 20:28; Matthew 25:35-34; John 13:1-17; Romans 12:9-13; Galatians 5:13; 1 Peter 4:10)

Missio Dei: Through mercy, love, and justice for all humankind, we get to be a part of God’s mission of redemption. (Colossians 3:12-14; Micah 6:8) Through God in us, we actively pursue a world impact through community investment, missions, and church multiplication. (Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:16-20; Matthew 5:13-16; Mark 16:15, Colossians 1:28-29)
